Submitting Obituaries
Our team welcomes submissions from families, as well as from funeral homes and cremation services.
- Clinical Obituaries:** Most obituaries are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we welcome submissions from families.
- Submission Email Address:** Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
- Document Requirements:** The Reading Eagle requires a Word document, Google document, or the body of the email with the text of the obituary. Include a death verification document, such as the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service, a photo of the death certificate, or your full name, phone number, and address.
Payment Process:** All payments by families must be made with a credit card. The Reading Eagle will send a proof of the completed obituary before requesting payment.
We cannot publish an obituary until we receive payment in full. Payment deadlines are as follows:
- 3 days prior to publication: Payment must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to publication for it to be published.
- Payment Methods:** Payment can be made via a credit card.
